Brief write up since we did get stuck.... No other anoraks expressed an interest but we went to check the site out anyway. Range of excuses included broken vehicles but the worst one I heard was "I've got to mow the lawn" Got to the site around 9.30 and started playing soon after. Initial thoughts were it was dry and small but we soon found some challenging stuff and realise how much was hidden in the trees. The site has a lot of different sections with white routes round it all and lots of small difficult sections off the main routes. Lots of different interconnected routes so traffic jams weren't a problem. One area has bomb holes, axle twisters and short twisty climbs. This was a fairly firm and dry area. One area is a large sandy pit with big climbs that challenged the most highly modified buggies. Another area was clay, very wet very slippery flat rutted mud runs. The clay was very like the old site at Eartham and clogged even dirt devils. BFG MT's beware! We broke a half shaft midday trying one of the bomb holes and thought our day was all but over... once repaired (long story) we got to play again in the afternoon in the mud run area and spent a long time tugging a Nissan Patrol out, which is where we got stuck (not helped by having the patrol with only rear wheel drive roped to the back of Homer. He was actually moving at that point and almost managed to pull me backwards, the range rover following us got stuck in the same spot) Well worth another visit and it's open 3rd Sunday every month. Pictures should be availble soon. Paul
