So...


First day out with the Anoraks, 

New experiences.... got stuck, got winched, found out what a hybrid is (see below).

Geoff with Hayden, Lyndon and Mark assembled at Bury Hill cafe for bacon sandwich.. made way to Slindon. Geoff with his new toy,
Lyndon with his LR... me in the SJ, Tony then joined us at about 11 in his SJ. Being new to this off road game and still learning
the lingo it was a good to learn what a hybrid actually was ie... Geoff's new toy (3/4 of Range Rover ) cleverly designed to run 
on half petrol and half diesel. Seriously great day, Geoff dented his new toy on his first attempt at climbing out of the bomb 
hole... NB 2 SJ's then proceeded to make the climb ( with small help from Lyndon's winch after getting stuck on the second part of 
the climb). Lyndon then provided advice to a marshal after the marshall snapped his winch rope trying to pull out a sunk LR.
Geoff and Lyndon then took a break to tinker with the Range Rover as it was back firing like a fire cracker, after a bit more messing 
about Tony and I found them by the burger van looking more like media tycoons, both on their mobiles discussing TV schedules etc !!
After refreshments and a bit of egging on Lyndon then made it through the deep(ish) water in the middle of the sand pit area, Geoff 
now being a bit braver proceeded to dent the other wing, smashing the indicators after colliding with a tree. I left shortly 
afterwards and drove home slowly with next to no brakes.
